Rotary cutter is also called topper mower or slasher， it is powerful tool for clearing out overgrown areas of grass. They can easily handle thick, high grass, and are tough enough to withstand hitting hidden rocks and debris. However, they are not as effective at providing a neat, finished look to your lawn and will leave behind windrows.
Rotary cutter is best used for clearing out paddocks or other large areas of grass. By adjusting the skids and/or jockey wheel, It can be set to cut at various heights. However, due to the rotary cutter blades it use, rotary cutter( slasher) have limitations on how low they can cut. This means that they cannot provide a lawn finish that is as clean as you would get with other methods.
